The moment I saw this whale butter dish on display in a local shop, I knew that I needed it. While I love the sea, I don't collect sea creature decor and didn't own a single whale, dolphin, or fish themed pieces. I'm not sure why I felt so drawn to it. I guess that the sense of whimsy in this little whale right down to the curved tail handle spoke to me.
That moment was years ago now. This whale still brings a smile to my face when it catches my eye. It's on display in the farmhouse kitchen as I type this to share with you right now.
You'll find this cute whale in a lot of the photos I share from the kitchen. All these years later, this whale butter dish makes me smile. With any luck, it will also bring a smile to your face.
