Living in an old farmhouse means that storage space is at a premium. That keeps me from buying tools and pans that serve a single purpose or will be used infrequently. This donut baking pan is an exception to that rule.
While I have been known to find new ways to utilize items I have on hand to make something new, you simply can't make baked donuts without a donut pan. I tried and failed miserably. Then I realized that these pans were inexpensive and stacked for storage, so they wouldn't hurt my budget or take up too much precious storage space.
I am so glad that I finally added these pans to our kitchen. They work very well and the donuts you can easily bake up are so delicious. Baked donuts are so simple to make that you can mix up the dry ingredients the night before and then add the remaining ingredients and mix it by hand while your oven preheats. They only need a few minutes to bake, so they'll be ready by the time your pot of coffee is.
If you'd like to give baked donuts a try, you'll find my favorite recipes for them gathered together for you in our Donut Recipe Collection.
