1840 Farm Cookie Recipe Club

We're starting an 1840 Farm Cookie Recipe Club and we want you to join in the fun. You can bake along with me during 2024 and have access to 18 new, unpublished cookie recipes. You might even win a dozen cookies baked fresh at the farmhouse and sent to your front door!

I have fond memories of the cookies my maternal grandmother baked every year for the holidays. She started the prep work, planning, and baking in early November and kept right on baking through to New Year's. She would bake up old favorites and new recipes she would delight us with, placing the week's fresh cookies in a metal baking pan with a lid.

I can remember the joy and wonder of sliding back that lid to uncover the homemade cookies she had made to share with us. She would bake a few to enjoy right away and stock the freezer with dozens of her cookies so that we could enjoy them all throughout the holiday season.

I have kept up the cookie recipe tradition with my children. I bake fresh cookies to fill the cookie jar on the counter and safely stash the remaining dough in the freezer so that we can bake up a tray of warm cookies whenever we want to enjoy them.

I also bake up dozens of cookies to send to friends and family during the holiday season. Like my grandmother, I start planning those cookie boxes months in advance. I try out a few new recipes and my children decide if they are worthy of being included in the year's holiday cookie boxes.

I want you to join in my cookie tradition. So, we're starting a Cookie Recipe Club so that we can enjoy the fun of baking these cookies together. Every member of the club will receive new, unpublished cookie recipes fresh from the farmhouse kitchen. I'll share six recipes during December along with my favorite cookie baking tools and tips for packing cookies to send to loved ones.

The fun won't stop there because I'll be sharing a new, unpublished cookie recipe with club members each month of 2024. You'll receive one new recipe every month. That's a total of 18 new cookie recipes that won't be published to the blog for our club members to enjoy!

We'll be sharing these recipes in our digital recipe booklet format. It's the magazine style format we use to share recipes with our Farmhouse Friends subscribers. Each recipe booklet is formatted in magazine style with photographs, an introduction to the recipe and methods or ingredients used in the recipe. It also features step-by-step instructions, tips for making the recipe in your kitchen, and for making substitutions to make each recipe your own.

These digital recipe booklets can be viewed on your phone, computer, or tablet. You can also print the entire booklet or portions of the booklet to be used in paper form as you cook and bake from them.
